Schmidt Heat and Air Conditioning is a customer focused full service heating and air-conditioning company. Our owner/operator, Dylan Schmidt, has extensive experience in the HVAC industry. Starting as a pipefitter-apprentice and eventually working his way up to a project manager of a mechanical construction company. With over 10 years of experience, he has worked on projects that included customers like Coors Brewing, SCL Health, Xcel Energy and Lockheed-Martin.
During the pandemic Dylan was forced to quit his job. He began getting calls from vendors and clients that he worked with, asking for a contractor that could handle installing specialized HVAC equipment. Having knowledge with this equipment, he acquired these projects and found his skills in high demand. Being able to work on a variety of systems ensured that he stayed busy.
With people being home more, they demanded more from there homes. Businesses looked for innovated ways to stay open. Asking for better performance and ways to save money on heating and cooling costs from their old, outdated HVAC equipment. They needed air filtration and smart controls to keep the family and customers comfortable and safe during this pandemic. Having installed this equipment in hospital settings, Dylan was well versed in these installation and retrofits while keeping risks and hazards minimized.
Dylan Schmidt is from the La Crosse area. He wanted to come home and create a company that was able to showcase these skillsets.
